Compression Guide

Find your compression level

Compression is the amount of shaping force a garment applies. The right level depends on what you're wearing it for — not on your size. Here's how to choose.

★★☆☆☆ Light Compression

Best for: everyday wear, work, layering, sleep-adjacent comfort.

  • Gentle, barely-there support
  • Smooths without restricting
  • Most breathable option
  • Ideal if you're new to shapewear

★★★☆☆ Medium Compression

Best for: everyday sculpting, office days, dinners, fitted dresses and jeans.

  • Visible waist shaping and tummy control
  • Smooths hips, back and midsection
  • Comfortable for all-day wear
  • Our most popular level

★★★★★ Firm Compression

Best for: special occasions, weddings, photoshoots, structured evening looks.

  • Maximum shaping and waist definition
  • Strong tummy and back control
  • Best worn for several hours at a time, not overnight

Which level for which moment?

Occasion Recommended level
Everyday wear Light – Medium
Work / office Light – Medium
Sport & movement Light
Parties & events Firm
Postpartum Light – Medium (after clearance from your doctor)

Fit rules that always apply

  • Snug and supportive, never painful.
  • If it pinches, digs in or restricts your breathing, size up.
  • Between sizes? Larger for comfort, smaller for stronger shaping.
  • Shapewear should never leave deep marks or numbness. Take it off if it does.

Note: shapewear shapes your silhouette while you wear it. It does not cause permanent body changes or weight loss.
